Recently I returned my MOBO for this concern, but it appears the problem persists. My current configuration is: CPU – AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3d, RAM – Trident Z 5 6000 16GB, GPU – MSI SUPRIM RTX 4090, OS – Windows 11. After a day of troubleshooting, my computer failed to boot. The BIOS never displays the CPU status and jumps straight to the DRAM indicator on the motherboard without progressing further. This has been really upsetting, especially since I went through ASUS’s RMA process together with my wife, who uses this machine. We’re hoping someone here can help identify the issue or suggest a solution.

EDIT 1: Swapped in two different RAM modules; the initial problem continued.
EDIT 2: Updated CPU to a new Ryzen 7 7800X3D unit, but the same DRAM light issue remains. Thank you! Tech nerds UNITE! 20231025_174203.mp4

Consider a RAM problem. Try resetting the CMOS first. If that doesn’t work, use one stick only and then consider returning the RAM sticks for repair.

common 7950x3D problems involve RAM instability leading to boot failures. Many users report similar experiences—initial stability, then sudden issues after replacing or switching RAM. It seems others have noticed this pattern where fixing the RAM temporarily resolves the problem before it reappears.

Huh... then only remaining cause is failure on the CPU memory controller Did you update BIOS to latest version ? ASUS boards tended to fry 3D chips (with excessive voltage to the RAM) a few months ago ...

Which set are we talking about? Probably the board.

They offer several options that match those details. Which one are you considering?

A standard RAM module will function properly at its original speed without any overclocking or special profiles.
