I took a break from gaming to eat lunch and returned to my Rig only to find it in the UEFI/BIOS settings. This occurred three more times since then. Each time, the machine powered on but wasn’t being used. I suspect it’s not related to energy management because the sleep time was set at three hours during the most recent event. The Windows event logs don’t record anything before the incident. The registry shows only DOCP enabled on the last case (less than five minutes left alone). The boot drives (NVME 4th gen MP 6000 1 tb.) weren’t detected, meaning my main Rig is currently non-functional. Am I correct in thinking the motherboard is failing or is there another issue? (All rig details are listed in the signature) Thanks for your feedback. (New motherboard and PSU have been ordered)

No testing has been done to support that statement. CPU and NVME could also be involved.

I don't believe a CPU or SSD under a year old would fail so quickly. Also, the system wouldn't post if the CPU was dead. This setup works just fine, but it doesn't recognize the boot NVME or the second NVMe drive—they're both in the M.2 slots. The third NVMe drives appear in the BIOS. My next suspect is the PSU I'm also swapping. I can't test the Gen 4 NVMe ATM either. I'll ask a friend to try both drives elsewhere.

CPU might show damaged PCIe lanes or controllers, yet it boots normally. This is similar to why 3700x/3800x and 3600x are functionally the same CPUs, just with faulty or inactive parts. The CPU serves as the central hub for all components, making it a key factor to consider. I'll handle that. I experienced some audio problems a few days back. If things get worse and the 5900x fails, I'll list the new Mobo on the used marketplace.
