X570 - Ryzen 4000 processor model
Hey! Thanks for the tip about the X570 mobos under $250. Any ideas for 2070 models with 3700x specs?
I am trying to keep my system extremely upgradable. I will get a RTX 3000 series and Ryzen 4000 series sometime next year. I was initially going to wait for them to be released, but I ultimately decided to build one first, use it for a year and build another one later. Hoping to reuse some parts like the mobo.
Yes, it's accurate but choices are quite restricted, particularly for the x570.
You have several solid choices under $250, depending on your preferences. If you're using USD and considering the current motherboard shortage, expect price increases. Around $180 lets you pick a TUF X570-PLUS or an Aorus X570 Elite. About $200 fits the X570 Tomahawk from MSI—though it hasn't been officially launched yet. If you manage to get one, it's a powerful board for its cost. Slightly above that you'll find the Prime X570-PRO and Strix X570-F, which are quite similar, or the Strix X570-E with added features like WiFi. All X570 models support Ryzen 4000 chips, and upcoming B550 boards should be comparable. Prices for B550 have been higher than anticipated, so they might not offer the same value as older B450 models.
