For X470, you need a compatible board with Ryzen 3000 support. PCIe Gen4 is ideal right now, but it’s not necessary for me at the moment.

The crosshair X470 is designed for smooth performance. It should comfortably manage a 3800x overclock.

My Crosshair VI Hero X370 is ready for the 3000 series Ryzen upgrades, and the Crosshair VII X470 looks like a great choice.
