Hello, you're thinking about switching to an x570 motherboard since your current one won't fit another PC. You're using a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 2070s, with a budget near €200. You're evaluating the ASUS ROG STRIX B550 or GAMING vs. the GIGABYTE AORUS X570 AORUS ELITE. Let me know if you'd like a quick comparison of features and benefits.

I’d choose the strix f honestly. If you’re restricted to these two picks, go for the b550. Tomahawk works too. For x570, stick with the Aorus Elite if you can afford it—it’s worth it. The AORUS Elite isn’t worth it unless you have extra cash. B550 is a solid alternative. I’d opt for the A Pro Max (non M) since it offers similar features at a lower price.

It makes sense if I need a replacement board, I should choose one that works with the latest generation whenever I want to upgrade the CPU.

Unless you require additional PCIe 4.0 lanes, the B550 offers more features at the same cost. I suggest the B550 Aorus Pro, Strix B550-F, and B550 Tomahawk/Gaming Edge WIFI.
