Hello everyone, new to this forum! I’m really finding it tough right now. I just upgraded my system with a Ryzen 3600 and an MSI X570 A-PRO, but I’m running into some headaches. The first thing is I can’t access my BIOS—Windows boots fine, but no motherboard details show up. I suspect the BIOS might be loading in the background and blocking the boot process, which is why I haven’t seen it. I’ve tested multiple monitors, including onboard HDMI and GPU outputs.

The second issue is performance hiccups: I experience stuttering during heavy tasks. Even when running graphics demos, there’s noticeable lag, though both CPU and GPU are only at around 15-20% load. This isn’t typical for my older hardware, which was much more powerful.

I’ve also noticed something odd about my power setup: I’m using just the 8-pin ATX power connector, but my PSU doesn’t have a 4-pin or secondary 8-pin adapter. I read online it’s not strictly necessary unless overclocking, but I can’t confirm. I’m worried about wasting money on a different PSU if this isn’t an issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Smile

This motherboard keeps getting more attention online because of problems—bad memory, weak VRM, power issues, and frequent BIOS updates. It’s the second worst model in its chipset group, and many people are complaining about it. If you can, return it and consider getting a better one.

You might attempt to enter the BIOS to resolve issues, but if the board is new, it’s better to purchase a different one.

It seems related to Newegg showcasing numerous five-star ratings for MSI boards. I believe they organized a contest or event asking users to review various models, which likely boosted their popularity compared to other manufacturers. Given this trend, it probably means the MSI board is top-notch.

The online shop I frequent frequently carries MSI products prominently, similar to the first few boards displayed. They don’t stock many other well-known brands such as ASUS. I own two MSI units so far, but both performed poorly—my B350 works fine, yet the BIOS setup is extremely difficult. Updating it adds even more frustration. The B450 was particularly problematic, with frequent crashes and strange slowdowns. Despite high customer ratings for MSI items, it seems these stores can’t manage them effectively. It probably makes sense to return the faulty board.
