I'm looking forward to speaking with more Ryzen x570 users before making this decision. The YouTube clips really impacted me.
Asus Tuf gaming x570 plus with Ryzen 5 3600 paired with Fractal Design Meshify C and Arctic Freeze 34 creates an impressive setup. When idle in a quiet space, you barely notice it. Running benchmarks reveals only a faint hum from the case fans. The Mobo sound is completely absent.
I share the same worries. I’m hoping for the C8H but unsure if the fan will be noticeable with your four 4-rad fans and one exhaust.
The fan serves mainly as a backup measure. 500 series boards use 15 watts, whereas earlier models ran at 5 watts. 15 watts is manageable for cooling, and the heatsinks are sized appropriately to make the fan necessary. They added fans because it was more economical and reduced the need for bulky heatsinks. Generally, few users will see the chipset fan operating at maximum while most systems run smoothly with only one GPU active.
It shouldn't be making a lot of noise or being too loud while playing, especially with a 1080Ti or 2080Ti graphics card. Ideally, it should blend in with the other fans in the setup.
You'll notice the GPU cooling fans before the main board components. There are many of them, and they're significantly bigger. The same applies to the CPU and case. The problem is that tiny fans on chipsets, when spinning at full speed, produce a higher-pitched noise compared to larger blade fans. This doesn't indicate they're actually louder or more intense, just a different sound quality.
I often enjoyed having a fan built into the chipset. This method helped achieve 400mhz FSB clocks.
