Earlier this week, my X99 MSI Gaming 9 ACK began failing after connecting a Wi-Fi USB card. It would restart itself but then simply shut down, repeatedly showing CPU initialization issues. All tests became unresponsive. I visited Microcenter and chose a 3800x, 32GB 16x2 3600 RAM, along with an X570 Aorus Master. After researching optimal boards for these components, I tried booting up and it entered a boot loop, repeatedly displaying the POST BIOS screen for half a second before restarting endlessly. After several attempts, it took about ten minutes of repeated restarts to finally access the BIOS. I then went through default settings, but it didn’t work—forcing a CMOS reset and spending another five minutes to regain access. I manually adjusted the CPU voltage and DRAM voltage to 1.4V each, which finally allowed it to boot into Windows properly. After stress testing, I restarted it multiple times to confirm proper functionality. I attempted XMP settings, but the system refused to operate at that speed, even when I increased DRAM voltage to 1.45V. It completely reset the BIOS, returning it to its factory state after this latest test. I’m still unsure how to proceed with the DRAM for XMP performance. Here’s what I have set up: CPU (x43 Multiplier), Vcore 1.35V, DRAM at 3200 MHz, and 1600VDR at 1.4V. During initial testing, it booted once at 4.4GHz and 1.4V, but refused to continue under those conditions. I passed all stress tests when it worked, which left me puzzled. What other adjustments should I make to the DRAM settings? I’ve noticed that some CPUs perform better with default voltages and multipliers compared to mine, even though I tested that and got inconsistent results. I confirmed this setup after some suggestions from trusted users. Feedback from verified buyers indicated it performed well with XMP on Ryzen 3000 series chips. The Samsung B-die RAM from Corsair typically works well, though I couldn't find it in stock at reasonable prices. The 3600 model is now available for about $122, but I'm not certain the issue lies with the RAM itself. The board initially booted normally at 4.4 GHz but later refused to start after a voltage change. Now it's rebooting smoothly at 1.375 GHz and 4.4 GHz. It seems the hardware might be slightly problematic.
I connected it to the Case USB, so even if I was the Static Man it would have simply disabled the USB port instead of affecting the whole motherboard. Yeah, I updated the BIOS and that’s when I began testing; I’m not planning to try this on the base BIOS. A clean install didn’t seem to help, still got the same outcome, it looks like a motherboard/bios problem. And yes, XMP just activates profile 1, but when I tried to boot it it doesn’t like it and resets itself. I’ve read somewhere that Aorus Bios, when using XMP, doesn’t adjust voltages and that’s causing the issues. I’m not sure because I tried 1.45V on the RAM and it still refused to boot, so that won’t happen either.

Sorry for the delay. Everything looks good with memory. I believe I misread the RAM timing specs earlier. It’s 2x 4 sticks totaling 64GB with XMP enabled, running at 1.35V smoothly with no problems.
