I don't understand why MSI added an extra 4-pin connector on boards like the X570-A Pro—it would already be a constraint before the 8-pin EPS was introduced. In short, simply connect the 8-pin and it should work. What kind of power supply are you thinking about using?
I wasn't certain either, but I checked the PC Part Picker site and kept running into warnings. I thought maybe someone else could assist me. I'm searching for a model around 750W, which is the recommended power from NVIDIA. Do you have any suggestions?

The system I have is the Crosshair VIII X570 with a 16-core 32-thread 3950X. Both the manual and OverClockers confirm it's designed for LN2 and aggressive overclocking. Skipping the extra pin risks damaging your CPU and destroying your VRM. Let me know if this clarifies things.
