Checking these two options, I’d pick the GIGABYTE X470 AORUS for its solid build and decent ports. The ROG Crosshair VII looks great but might be a bit pricier. For alternatives, consider the GENUINE X470 or the ASUS ROG Strix X470 if you want more features.

X470 stands out as a top option, outperforming B550 in most aspects. Both are premium builds, but X470 edges out in nearly every specification. (I’d favor the Gigabyte if you prefer its appearance, but review the VRM tiers on your site for detailed performance info)

I also suggest opting for B550 or x570 motherboards rather than x470. The main benefit of x470 is its capacity to convert the x16 slot into two x8 slots, though x570 offers this feature as well. Another consideration could be SLI technology, which is largely discontinued by nVidia. For Ryzen 2xxx support, x570 boards are compatible. Since x470 models are scarce, they tend to cost more and have limited availability. On the positive side, there are affordable x570 options that provide good value. The Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite is a budget-friendly choice, while the ASUS x570 TUF Gaming Plus offers better performance for its price—though it's pricier. Regardless of your selection, ensuring you have at least two green and one yellow indicator on the first tab (version 1.4) or three green checks in the middle columns on the second tab (version 1.5) will be helpful.
