This might not be the best spot for your query. It seems more about trade-offs than pure gaming performance. I was curious how 3D V cache could impact virtual environments like Foundry or Tabletop Simulator when multiple players join online. Would a chip with better productivity features help smooth things out for everyone involved?

Technically only the 7800x3d and the 7950x3d work when it functions. The 7900x3d is a chip you should avoid at all costs. Tabletop simulators are usually not very demanding (unless you have some unusual custom RPGs that aren't well built). In reality, you should see a difference between a low-end CPU like an i3 12100 or a high-end one since these games are quite simple to run. Unless the game is poorly made, even a top system won’t make much of a difference. Smoothness also relies on everyone’s internet connection, and the person with the worst link will control the overall experience.
