X3D for VR development?
X3D for VR development?
I'm a beginner from the Netherlands just starting to learn about PC repair and building. I create software for VR, handling both gaming and other tasks. I often multitask, which has me heading toward the AMD line and frequently getting X3D chips recommended for my new setup. As mentioned, I'm new to this, but I was wondering if X3D is really better for gaming compared to regular CPUs in my situation. Anyone have some advice?
I’d prefer the higher core count first, then consider the X3D chips. I’m familiar with game dev tools that support up to 32 threads.
I assessed it this way. Generally, VR suggests treating yourself like a 4K gamer, but for dev there are few rules. I’ve faced CPU limits and am currently using an i7-7700K (maybe the model is off). It seems VRam usage is often low, though I haven’t tested various CPUs to see their impact. You’re likely correct about development being more critical, so I’ll explore that further. Thanks for the thought!
