X399 - 2990wx - memory problems
Hello everyone... it's been a while since my last update. I'm looking for advice and expertise on my current setup. I need an office computer for 3D and rendering tasks. I have an Asus Prime X399-A with 8x16GB RAM, which is paired with a HyperX Predator model (HX3200C16D4/16GX Threadripper 2990wx). The power supply is a 1000W air-cooled master cooler. I've noticed that when I run complex rendering calculations, the machine shuts down completely, and the power button doesn't work unless I press it again to restart. After some research, I found that the RAM modules aren't listed in the Asus MBO list, and the motherboard can't support XMP profiles for better speeds—it won't boot or freeze randomly.
I'm seeking two solutions: first, a 128GB RAM module that's fully compatible with this motherboard (preferably from G.Skill or Corsair), or second, replacing the motherboard so it accepts these memory kits. Thanks in advance for your help—I really need to get this hardware right before I submit my project updates.

Additionally, there are two HyperX units and one ADATA unit included, though those weren't requested.
What do you think? Should I keep all 8 sticks and go for 8x16GB or pick 4x32GB (4 sticks) and leave the others alone? I’ve heard that using all channels can be tricky with Threadrippers. Anyway... is there a big difference between Mobo QVL and Memory QVL? I’m curious because in G.skill some cards aren’t listed even though they fit the specs. Should I stick with the Asus QVL list? Thanks for the questions, but I’m new to this X390 platform. (At my place I have an X570 and it works great)

The issue seems related to a PSU problem. Which PSU model are you referring to? QVL list kits are often effective, but this doesn't guarantee that RAM outside the list will function. They lack the capacity or time to verify every kit, making QVL largely ineffective.
