Recently my ax370 card stopped booting. After an hour of attempts, I removed the RAM and it started again but then fell back to backup BIOS F31, showing a memory error. Using the standard slot method reset it to BIOS F40 and it rebooted normally. However, when I applied XMP settings it crashed with a 3-beat pause followed by shutdown. Trying one stick at a time worked fine with XMP, but adding a second stick caused errors during memory testing on Windows. Could this be a problem specific to Gigabyte Motherboards? The RAM is now functioning properly at 3000 MHz and 1.35V. It seems the BIOS might have been unstable, possibly a buggy version. I was using F40 when it happened, but after an update to F41 as advised by a Gigabyte RMA center.
Occasionally the older Ryzen models encounter problems with XMP settings, so it’s best to attempt setting the official maximum speeds manually.
You should simply insert it without any issues. The BIOS can be cleared easily—using a button, a short 2-pin connection, or by performing the action within the BIOS settings.
