I saved the AsRock RGB LED tool to adjust the lighting on my chipset heatsink, a task I've repeated before. The program began a firmware check but then crashed. The heatsink LED turned bright white and became unresponsive, not reacting to the AsRock RGB utility or BIOS updates. It also failed to power down when the computer was turned off. It remains stuck in a static, intense white state. Anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I'm running Windows 10 on an R7 1700, Corsair RGB RAM (2x8GB), and an AsRock X370 Taichi.

Checked my bios upgrade and I have the most recent version for adjusting RGB settings.

At around 4.60 I thought I might re-flash it. The utility was saved directly from AsRock's website just before installation. Updated: Just received a message from AsRock support. They're really quick. I'm glad it worked! I'm planning to handle the marking myself since I wasn't anticipating such a fast response.

My system is running BIOS version 7.30, and I've tried all possible solutions but haven't been able to turn off the chipset LEDs like I did during initial setup. I reviewed my old emails and found the fix came from AsRock sending updated LED firmware. Once the new firmware was installed, the issue was fixed. The link for the firmware has been inactive for about five years? AsRock likely still holds it and might resend it if you contact them.

I would create a ticket just in case they assume another issue exists and wish to investigate it before proceeding with the firmware update.

I reached out to asrock technical support through their website. They replied with an automated message indicating their technical team would get in touch soon. I’ll update here when they respond, possibly with a resolution.

Solution received from ASRock TSD. Issue resolved with the following steps, which may help others facing similar problems. Copying the original message as it was sent.

1. Uninstall the RGB control utility completely, remove all remaining files and reinstall the latest ASRock RGB LED.
Download link: https://download.asrock.com/Utility/RGB/....0.43).zip
2. Update the RGB firmware using these instructions:
- Step 1: Execute CMD as administrator
- Step 2: Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\ASRock Utility\ASRRGBLED\Bin
- Step 3: Ensure the ASRock RGB LED is closed
- Step 4: Run "wICPFLASH.exe /file=nu51_1.10"

This should address the issue effectively.
