Can the Xeon X3430 fit in a Lenovo M90p? It uses an LGA 1156 connector. You likely won’t need a BIOS upgrade since it’s the Q57 chipset.

Just to be safe I'd say todo a Bios update before hand but I think it should work; but you never really know without knowing the exact motherboard and such especially for older products and Xeons in boards they weren't meant for; They SHOULD work, doesn't guarantee they will however.

I have Lenovo M90 model 3246-B6G, bios version 5JKT65AUS. It works fine with Xeon x3470. There is single microcode that supports i5-750, i7-8x0 and xeon's so if they added support for i5-750 for your motherboard it will probably support i7's and xeon's even if they don't list them. Good luck ! Update info: Unbuffered ECC memory also works Xeon in this motherboard (tested with some dirt cheap 2x2Gb sticks).
