My PC specs are: Ryzen 5 3600x on a Msi motherboard, with an X570 Gaming Plus card that has delta 3600 mhz RAM and two sticks of 8G. My graphics card is an Rtx 2060. Every time I turn my pc on, the xmp settings show up but my computer won't start. When I reset the cmos and try to set the ram speed to 3200 mhz, it boots up but then auto restarts and doesn't stay on anymore. If I reset the cmos again and change the setting to 2933 mhz, it works now. I want to change my ram to run at 3600 mhz so I can use it for full power. So help me out. I tested my ram against a friend's pc and his xmp settings work fine. His mobo is an MSI X570 Gaming Edge wifi. Sorry if my grammar was bad in the message above.
Ok...that feels weird because your BIOS says Version A.00 and the date is 6/4/2019, which isn't on the official MSI page. This looks like a really old AGESA version (V1) that had tons of bugs. I totally agree with you to update it. You should go for the latest, 7C37vA9. Even though this one has AGESA ComboPI 1.0.0.2, it is actually V2.0.0.2 instead.
3600 MHz is a very high memory speed, so it's definitely an overclock for Intel CPUs designed for 3200 speeds. It might work, but I don't think every single CPU, memory stick, or motherboard setup will run fine just by setting the XMP profile. First: have you tried both XMP profiles? (XMP1 and XMP2) Second, maybe try manually boosting the DRAM voltage. Start by matching the voltage on your DIMM's package rating, then bump it up one notch at a time until it boots. DDR4 sticks can handle up to 1.5 volts, but don't go higher than 1.40. If that fails, you'll need to fine-tune voltages using tools like TAIFUN and the DRAM Calculator. If all else fails, just manually type in the voltage and timings listed on your DIMM package, set frequency to 3200 MHz, and leave it there.
No, I haven't tested xmp profile 1 or 2 yet. My current voltage is just auto (set to V1.36) in the 3200 mhz mode. If that doesn't work, I'll try 1.40 and look up what Taifun says about it using a dram calculator.

Which BIOS version does your board have? CPUz usually shows that on the Mainboard tab when you look at the Version block. HWInfo displays it under Motherboard information. M-Flash is the best way to update, but you'll need a USB flash drive with the BIOS file in its root folder.
