I recently purchased Xbox Game Pass for a one-month trial on PC to try flight simulators. When I log in, it shows all titles are still priced at full cost or with minor discounts. It seems I’m forced to pay a recurring fee just to play these games. The marketing promised unlimited access to over 50 titles, but now I’m stuck unless I buy them myself. Is this the intended model?

Xbox Game Pass for PC is separate from the console version. You already own the PC edition and can enjoy games like Flight Sim without purchasing them.

It seems like you're dealing with some game promotions that aren't active right now. The ads for free games are being grayed out or marked as unavailable. I'll check again later.

Use the Xbox app instead of the MS Store to get Flight Sim.

I managed to install it eventually after a few attempts, though it keeps freezing at 'preparing, 0%' and crashes with error code 0x0000001.

I experienced the same issue initially. It took about two days before it began functioning properly, so...essentially just have to wait until it works.

It appears to function well for you, and I don’t see any problems with the app. Are you running the Xbox app? (It’s essentially the Game Pass interface)

It took some time for everything to load after signing up, possibly because I had to wait through it. I might need to keep going.

It appears the app is listed as available in the Microsoft Store, but clicking 'install' doesn't work. Selecting 'install on my devices' shows an error saying you don't have any devices.
