WTF is this and how do I stop it?
I’ve checked all keyboard and virtual keyboard configurations across Windows, Xbox, GameBar, Steam, and the game itself. Every setting seems to default to a non-displayed or disabled state, and it keeps appearing when I try to type in-game. The only change that worked was reducing the size of the virtual keyboard.
I described the process of reducing the keyboard size in a clear and concise manner to make it easier for others to provide helpful advice.
While ensuring all virtual keyboard options were disabled, I switched the size from large to small. It still appeared briefly before I restarted my PC multiple times—three times after toggling on and off several times. After rebooting, the virtual keyboard eventually disappeared. However, the gaming interface keeps appearing whenever I type in games, but it doesn’t register my input. When naming tracks in Forza, it still saves as “Forza.” It seems there’s an issue with Xbox’s “gaming services” that forces a download for playing on PC via the Xbox app. If I could remove it, that would likely resolve the problem. Unfortunately, the Xbox app depends on it and won’t function properly without it. I can’t modify any settings related to “gaming services,” so I’m unable to stop it.
