It appears you're trying to update your WSL installation. You should download the latest version from the Store app, or use --import-in-place for the first distro you install.

I confirmed it functions correctly after adjusting the command. Removed "--version 2" and it resolved. Appreciate the help @goatedpenguin and @C2dan88!

THE SYSTEM ISN'T FUNCTIONING. IT WAS INSTALLED, BUT WHEN I TRIED TO ACCESS IT, MY DATA DISAPPEARED. FORTUNATELY, I STILL HAVE A COPY ON MY COMPUTER.
