Both World of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls Online offer unique experiences, but they cater to different preferences—WoW is a massive MMORPG with vast content, while EO3 offers deep roleplaying in a richly detailed world. Which suits you depends on what you enjoy most.

It really comes down to what you prefer, wouldn't you say? Elder Scrolls Online is a great choice.

Well.. It's not the same kind of games. I've never played Elder Scrolls, but I'd go with WoW, there's a reason why it's the most played MMO game since 2004

This choice hinges on your preferences. I lean toward The Elder Scrolls Online because of my affinity for the series and its rich storytelling, the fully voiced characters and dialogue, and its appealing modern design. Regarding payment, it's a buy-to-play model with a single purchase fee, and the game is frequently discounted on Steam. World of Warcraft, as far as I understand, still needs a subscription and can become quite expensive over time. Here’s a comparison that focuses mainly on World of Warcraft.

I've never played ESO, but if you're brand new to WoW, be prepared for a steep learning curve. The initial 10-15 levels are quest-based, then progress to dungeons up to the maximum level, and finally tackle LFR (raid) where you can learn from experienced players. Join a guild that matches your interests and practice until you're well-prepared. While exploring dungeons, gather skills, master cooking, fishing, enchanting, jewelry crafting, first aid, and alchemy—level them up while you play. Don't overlook mounts and pets; collect the ones you like, whether easily obtained or earned through effort. Keep going until you're ready. That's WoW. If you've never played it, it's a lot of fun.

They have quite distinct styles. I left World of Warcraft ages back, though it was a solid game. I also played a lot of ESO with friends. Probably you won’t be disappointed by either one.

I'm asking this since I already have ESO but my friend plays WoW, and I'm not sure if switching would be a good idea. I haven't been a big fan of subscription games before. Maybe WoW offers some content that could justify the cost. I was chatting with my friend, who said it's quite similar to what I was explaining about ESO.
