You clearly didn't agree with that poll question. It only mattered if the main reason was for Xbox games.
It's accurate, though I believe the topic is quite expansive and polling would be challenging due to differing opinions on operating systems. It wouldn't fit well in a detailed survey. I included it because Microsoft did similar things with Vista and Halo 2. I edited out the word "purely" to prevent any confusion, but note that this might impact the results.
It seems they didn’t create a DX9 version of Halo 2, though it wasn’t surprising there was no intention behind it.
Looking for Xbox titles on PC without extra fees is key. Steam usually covers everything well enough. I’d only invest if the ports were solid. Halo 3 has been a long wait, and I won’t pay if it doesn’t meet expectations. For the sake of variety, I’d prefer MCC and ODST on PC instead of Forza games. Upgrading to Windows 10 isn’t necessary unless I really need it. Back in the day, Halo 2’s “Vista only” version let people tweak it for older systems—maybe that’s why people tried to adapt it for Windows 7 and 8.1. This poll is helpful with many choices!
I really hope I can enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider, but I can assure you it won’t be the holiday 2015 release Microsoft is advertising. The developers themselves admit they’re still in the early stages of development. By the time it hits PC, it’ll likely be a 2017 version...
It seems like you're considering the timing of a release. The industry is being cautious about game launches, likely to ensure quality and avoid poor reception.
I'm okay with it, but the exclusivity feels like a blow because in 2013's TR they created a big deal by backing Windows XP. They wanted it to run on very basic settings so all TR fans could play it, not just average gamers. Now? That doesn't seem the same.
