Good evening everyone! I have a query about how my build will perform in Europe. I’m assembling this computer in the United States, but I plan to transport the parts there. I understand that voltage requirements differ there.

Europe uses a standard of 230 volts at 50 Hertz, while the USA operates on 120 volts at 60 Hertz. I want to know if my build might encounter problems in Europe, whether it’s best to delay purchasing some components, or if everything should work smoothly.

Thank you. Here’s the build details: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tgh9N6

Choose a power supply with the selector on the back side, or opt for another one when you arrive home?

Sure, I think you might be able to wait for the PSU, but everything else should still function properly, right?

The power supply unit is the most important factor. Some PSUs support a wide input range (100-240v) that can work, while others are limited to specific standards like US or EU, and only function with 230v in the EU (and similar regions). If you choose a full-range PSU, it's safe to proceed, and I doubt 230v models are available in the US.

In essence, any power supply that's good to purchase will cover a wide range, including this one.

They've been prohibited in Europe for more than a decade, and few people produce them these days. I haven't encountered one in over two decades.

The selected power supply accommodates 230V operation. A suitable cable is required to link it with the European wall outlet. Please be aware that the UK features various wall socket types.

Hey, I wasn't aware the manual voltage switch was missing. It had been hidden so much in the PSU that it really disappeared from view. Also, according to the overview, it automatically switches to the correct voltage.
