The value setting is at 5700x. The standard 5800x may run quite hot, but it should deliver about 95% of the performance of the 5800x while being cooler. This leaves room for upgrading the CPU cooler and power supply if necessary. Are you in the USA? I’m wondering why the 3080ti was chosen specifically. It might not be a bad choice to consider the 6800xt, 7800xt, or the RTX 4070/4070 Ti, though new Super cards are expected soon, possibly leading to price reductions.
Just to check, have you checked if the MBOO BIOS is up to date? Also, does your system run smoothly with one stick in A2 at 3600Hz with XMP? Ryzen seems to struggle with 4 x RAM kits; a pair of 16GB would be ideal, and only 64GB if you really need that much memory. +1 5800X3D – try to prolong the lifespan of your setup as much as possible. This might be the final upgrade you make for that motherboard. Ensure the PSU is ATX 3.0, as the 3080Ti requires it; older Rmx 2021 models don’t meet that standard.
I remain a bit uncertain about the 3080 TI and 3090. The 4080 SUPER seems promising, but its end of life means used prices will fall soon. Should I wait for the used 4080 price to drop or purchase the new 4080 SUPER as soon as it launches? My advice is to consider next-gen GPUs now, since the 40 series feels a bit outdated.
Hold on for the 50 series release. In the meantime, if you're craving something superior to keep you tied up, even a used 3060Ti (starting point) offers a performance boost of 1660. Check the relative specs.
