Already have a case (MSI 320R), storage and peripherals
Expecting RX6600 or RTX 3060 in a few months
Any suggestions for improvements?
(Location - India)
Mainly play games such as Beam ng / asseto corsa and use Adobe Lightroom frequently
Currently using a 75hz 1080p Samsung monitor
Appreciate any advice!
Thanks
AMD performance depends heavily on ram speed.
However, purchasing just one 16gb stick is reducing your speed in half due to single-channel operation.
Consider buying a 2 x 8gb package.
If you were planning to upgrade later with another 16gb, it’s not wise.
Ram should come from a matching kit to function well.
It’s best to invest in a 2 x 16gb setup now.
The jump from 650w to 750/850w isn’t too costly.
Modern graphics cards can exceed their rated power usage.
There’s no drawback to higher wattage (except expense).
A PSU that only delivers the required power will work regardless.
A premium PSU usually offers a longer warranty than the standard 5 years for MSI models.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
If you're seeking a more affordable choice, we're not based in India (this site is located in the USA), so we need to understand what types of sites you have access to and what components are available to you.
From a basic standpoint, your build is acceptable, but investing in a dual channel 2x16GB DDR5-6000MHz AMD E.X.P.O advertised RAM kit would provide greater performance for your Ryzen 7000 series platform. You should also consider a motherboard with a heatsink for better durability.

I understand if there are any compatibility concerns or issues that might arise.
Currently, the dual channel option exceeds my budget, but I plan to upgrade later.
I’ll search for a motherboard with improved chipset cooling.
What are your plans for moving to 2 x 16gb?
Upgrading by adding another 1 x 16gb drive might lead to compatibility problems due to differing RAM specifications.
Matching part numbers don’t always ensure a perfect fit.
The RAM from the same vendor and part number can vary in manufacturing over time.
If you intend to swap a single 16gb drive for two 16gb drives, that’s acceptable.
Sure, I'll adjust the wording while keeping the original meaning and tone intact.
So, why not begin with 2 x 8gb? The price remains roughly the same.
