A silly paranoid question of the week #52
The previous Corsair RM750X would make a bit of noise when the 4070 GPU was under strain, my current RM750X does too, but occasionally the frequency drops low enough to sound 'zappy'. With my limited brain power and lots of paranoia, I start thinking it might be shorting somewhere. Which I imagine would be very clear.
Since the system runs perfectly fine
Anyway, if something were wrong with the PSU, I assume a high-quality unit would safeguard my components from such problems, right? And if it really did have issues like shorting, it’d be obvious, wouldn’t it?

For your peace of mind, I recommend choosing a larger PSU that wouldn’t overheat as much. I’ve never seen such a lot of discussions about one PSU here before. A broken PSU would definitely cause clear problems!

For peace of mind, I agree with rolli59. I would choose a high-end 1000w.
