Additionally, because no one addressed your main issue clearly, the 11400f is sufficient for today's graphics cards.

Your CPU handles higher resolutions well, so 1440p or better is acceptable. At 1080p it may not transfer data as quickly to the GPU compared to newer CPUs. However, if you're maintaining 150fps at 1080p, it should be sufficient for your requirements. I'd be more worried about stuttering in games than about any apparent bottleneck.

I'd support keeping the resolution at 1440p or higher. In my view, 1440p appears significantly superior to 1080p. After upgrading to 1440p, it's best not to revert to 1080p.

It might not reach 500fps at 1080p, but I think 300fps at 1080p would be enough for his work.

I can't represent the11400, but I'm on par with a 12600kf myself. However, I'm emphasizing this point too, aiming for 1440p especially with something like that. Once you move past 1080p, it really feels like a major visual improvement.

The 12gb vram would make me think it's not worth it. I'd prefer a 7800xt/7900xt or hold off until the Super cards are released.

Hello again!
I’m trying to figure out which of the available AMD or NVIDIA GPUs would be the best match for my PSU. I know the RTX 30 and 40 series aren’t suitable, but I need guidance on the top AMD GPU option instead.

I thought you might have managed to save an additional 100 quid for a new PSU by now.
For the long term, I recommend choosing the 7900GRE or any of the 850W PSUs mentioned earlier.
If you need ray tracing performance, a 4070 super is more than sufficient for your 1080p monitor.
