Working on recording and rendering tasks.
Hello Everyone, I’m looking for some guidance on improving my game recording quality. I’m using Brandicam and Sony Movie Studio Platinum to render, but I’m facing issues with mobile playback. My videos currently display at 720p on my phone, while others stream smoothly at 1080p. On tablets, the resolution drops to 360p or lower. This impacts my channel since viewers expect higher quality. The Sony software limits me to 30fps, which isn’t ideal for matching screen resolution. I’m considering recording at 60fps instead, but that would require more processing power. Adobe Pro is priced at $20/month and seems like a strong option for rendering, but I’m unsure about recording choices. I’ve spent hours trying different settings without success. Any suggestions or better software options would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to exploring alternatives if this isn’t working. Thanks!
You're referring to the setup instructions for streaming. It sounds like you're aiming for high quality—1080p at 60fps with a bitrate around 25,000kb/s using H264 or quicksync. For YouTube, they standardize bitrates to ensure compatibility across devices, though you can still stream in 1080p if preferred.
Yeah thats the one, it works fine on the computer but i just cant get 1080 on my phone, Is it worth trying a capture card instead ive heard some good things about them? Im surprised with such a big community of people doing this sort of thing that there is such a limited amount of software around. i thought this youtube stuff would be a fun hobbie its been nothing but stress so far, this forum is so helpful you guys always have the ansewers to all my issues.
Functions properly on my phone after testing. It seems YouTube now limits streaming to your device's resolution. I can view 1080p clearly on my LG G3, though my phone has a 1440p display. Some videos play at 720p while others work fine. Consider using OBS to record and check for issues. If the problem persists, reach out to YouTube support. Also, try processing videos with HandBrake before uploading—it might fix the issue.
I suggest giving Twitch a try. It offers a more engaging and interactive experience with simpler setup. You'll spend less time editing and learning tools, allowing you to focus more on playing games and enjoying yourself. I moved from YouTube because it requires too much effort to create quality content amid daily responsibilities. Twitch is straightforward—learn the basics of OBS, then personalize your stream to stand out. It worked perfectly for me.
