I own the monitor asus pg348q with 16gb ram and evga sc2 1080 ti. Playing pubg is slow even when facing someone directly ahead, and I can't win. The game feels choppy, and everyone else seems to have an edge over me. I'm using a cat 6 ethernet cable, but I'm not sure what to do next.

If the drivers don’t install properly, try reinstalling them again. Otherwise, you’re in trouble.

PUBG often performs poorly, but what you're experiencing is particularly bad. What's your ping? Confirm you're on the nearest servers to your location.

Check your internet setup and performance. Share your speed test results, the servers you're using, and your location.

PUGB will perform poorly on any setup. Restoring Windows is the fastest solution for software problems.

You're really struggling, man. I can run Battlefield 1 at 100Hz or higher, but PUBG drops to around 30Hz with a solid connection and 70Hz when things are rough.

PUBG is really problematic. It's a decent game, but the developers seem unmotivated and slow to improve it. They struggled to make it run smoothly at over 10 frames per second, and even adding new features like vaulting over obstacles took them two months after the game wasn't released. It's likely to lag on any system.

Reduce your resolution to 1080x2560 and observe the improvement

Connecting to the game server directly offers better performance. Speedtest ping is unlikely to provide much useful information.

It's important to evaluate ping and PC performance. I don't know your FPS experience, but keep in mind that many PUBG players come from CSGO and are familiar with FPS games. You might want to think about whether you're feeling okay.
