I have a HyperX Cloud II with a faulty mic connection at the 3.5mm jack—function only when pressed with fingers. Recently, the audio started making strange noises, suggesting possible damage from the pressure. You mentioned having a soldering iron and tools, so a repair might be possible. Cutting the jack or replacing it with a different one could work.

It might not be necessary to buy another jack; simply rewire it and wrap it with shrink tubing.

Uncertain if it works since the jack is made of plastic rather than a peel-off material.

I would start here and if it no work, then you'll need to find a 3 ring mic jack one. like this: https://www.amazon.com/Timibis-Repair-he...79&sr=8-24

You used the same kit before. It should function if you discard the solder right away and opt for a better material, plus you have a compact soldering station and decent fine motor abilities—though mine didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped.

Hey everyone, perhaps a simpler solution exists for someone who struggles with soldering—modifying the headset to a detachable cable could work better. @kamonanban I found a photo of the jack online; it matches what I saw, even though I can't see my headset right now.

It only sounds like that, but I end up completely breaking up 90% of things I try to repair
