Hi, I'm attempting to boost my RAM speed using XMP and increasing its frequency to 2666MHz. My system runs an i3 9100F with an ASUS PRIME H310M-A R2.0, and I'm currently at 2133MHz without XMP enabled. After saving and quitting BIOS, I followed the profile settings. The XMP feature automatically set the frequency to 2400MHz instead of the desired 2666MHz. I'm also using an older NVIDIA GPU (9500 GT) and a decent PSU, but I'm worried about stability. Someone mentioned my RAM might be unstable, possibly due to age or GPU issues. I don't want to risk crashes in games or heavy tasks by settling for 2400MHz. Can you explain why XMP is giving me 2400MHz instead of the target?

Your motherboard and CPU allow for 2400 MHz RAM. XMP provides you with 2400 due to these specifications.

It means even after manually adjusting to 2666 MHz, you're limited to 2400MHz.
