Your budget ranges from 2000 to 2500 CAD.
The notebook size you're evaluating is 17, 16, or 15 units.
You require a screen resolution of NA (need enlarged text if necessary).
You need a portable laptop, not a desktop replacement.
Battery life should be sufficient for most use; you prefer it to last as long as possible.
You wish to play games on your laptop, with preferred settings: ARK 2 at medium, Planet Zoo at medium or low, and no lag.
You want to play games with settings: Low, Medium, or High.
You need at least 1TB of hard drive storage.
If you have specific sites in mind, share their links.
Recommended models: Lenovo Legion 5i 82RB00DNCC, Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315-55-70N1, Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58-78CT, ASUS TUF Dash F15, ASUS ROG GU603ZM.
You plan to keep your laptop for 7 years.
You need an optical drive such as DVD ROM/Writer or Bluray ROM/Writer, but no specific brand preference.
You prefer Intel processors.
Your preferred country is Canada.
Additional details: Your current laptop is a 2015 ASUS ROG G752VL with 1TB SSD, RAM 16GBS, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M (2GB GDDR5). Any suggestions or options are welcome.

Welcome to the forums and a joyful New Year, newcomer!
4. Are you considering a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Laptop
Are you asking if this would replace your current desktop, essentially keeping you seated all day?
It seems this option could overshadow other laptops in terms of durability.

though the Acer's might offer better value since you get similar hardware internally, though the look would be plain.
The Lenovo link doesn’t work for me, but I found it using the SKU you mentioned:

^ That’s it?
All the laptops you’re considering are strong choices, but would you like to add more internal storage to either of them later?

laptop I'm using is disabled and I can't sit at a desk to use a desktop comfortably. Unless I can get a desktop with a portable screen that I can place on my lap.
I'm considering the ASUS GU603ZM, but it will need to be back in stock yet—I'm not in a hurry right now.
That was the Lenovo model I was evaluating.
I'd like more storage, but it's not essential since I already have external HDDs. The 1TB is mostly for game files, and I currently have 222GB free.
