It’s a good idea to start with I & II before moving on to the later parts.

I tried just the second version and it was incredible. You need to try it too.

If you have the funds and time, it’s worth trying them out. They differ greatly, and it would take some effort to cover all the distinctions. The second game stands out more in combat, so I highly suggest playing it. You might also want to install the full combat rebalance mod, as the Witcher 3 combat seems to align closely with it.

Looks like you're planning to get those files soon this week! I'm excited for it—BF: Hardline is coming out, and I'm ready for it!

Exploring every option in Witcher 2 may require some patience.

Witcher 2 is certainly worth playing, mainly because it's an excellent game—likely ranking among the top 20 RPGs ever made. Witcher 1 offers a decent experience mostly due to its storytelling, though the voice acting and combat feel a bit inconsistent. It might be worth a quick try for about an hour to find out if you enjoy it.

Witcher 2 was certainly amazing but I had a ball playing witcher 1. the story was great and all things considered the graphics werent that bad. They're incredibly cheap so that shouldnt be a problem. If you really want to learn about the setting more than what the games will ever provide, the books are amazing. People who only played the games aren't as hped as those who read the books also because 3 is bringing in ton of the biggest characters. Moral of the story, you wont be lost just jumping into 3, but everything else is great.
