Witcher and Witcher 2 Good or bad?
Witcher and Witcher 2 Good or bad?
Exciting titles set in a vibrant universe featuring diverse elements like sex work and social conflicts
These two titles are excellent. I’ve spent more than 60 hours on The Witcher (1) and over 30 in The Witcher 2. The Witcher is clearly one of my top favorite gaming series.
Likely to receive criticism, though I didn’t enjoy the Witcher 2. The combat felt sluggish and it never gave a strong sense of control over Geralt. It’s visually appealing, but overall it fell short for me.
I tried to wrap up the first chapter, spent an hour on level 2, and I really enjoy it! But... I still need that story! Must... finish it! But yes, it's okay. However, the battles here are different from chapters one and two.
I’ve already purchased Witcher 1 and found it quite enjoyable so far. Now I grasp what you’re talking about by the awkward fights—it seemed better in the video, but it’s still entertaining. I’m planning to grab Witcher 2 tomorrow because I think it’ll be even more impressive than the first game. Seeing many people excited about Witcher 3 sparked my interest and helped me understand why it’s so compelling.
They offer compelling narratives with a mature tone. The world they build is quite engaging. I’ve spent around ten hours on the first title, tried it multiple times, but the combat didn’t suit me. The game’s engine also feels somewhat outdated now. Witcher 2 seems more polished, with a strong combat system that rewards skill and offers depth. Overall, it’s a solid RPG experience. I completed one full run, though I encountered a glitch where all interface elements froze—forcing me to restart. I didn’t see the value in troubleshooting it. For improvement, consider the Full Combat Rebalance Mod for both games; they aim to enhance combat enjoyment. The Witcher 3 was notably influenced by the mod developed for The Witcher 2.
The Witcher 2 is an amazing game, which I would recommend. The Witcher on the other hand I never did play.
