It doesn't seem to add up. You're right about the DLC, and it really isn't worth the investment.

It's just a cost variation, and it's much simpler to set up on Steam. Unfortunately, I dislike how GOG forces installations—it's really frustrating. Just download it from Steam; you can still manage the .ini files if needed.

It prompts you to download around 12 files for the game, after which you must install each patch in the right sequence, then separately install all the DLCs. With Steam, simply download it and everything will be handled automatically without needing thousands of separate files.
