Are you saying that something is bugged, or that you don't like the combat? If it's too hard for you try lowering the difficulty.
Why didn't you dodge the bolt? You're the one that controls him That game save does suck lol, that's never happened to me, but you should have a range of old saves available in your load game menu which you can revert to on the very odd occasion that happens. That horse thing sucks ahah, I never auto path so didn't even know that was a thing, the next update coming will make your horse smarter though according to the notes on it, so maybe that'll be fixed for you And are you playing with a SSD? Because I never get loading screens, but when I watch my brothers play on PS4 it's almost a joke how much loading screens occur on that old 5400rpm HDD, it's pathetic lol, they even get loading screens when going into conversation with some people Seems like you've had a bad time playing it though, I've never had any of the troubles you've faced and I've done over 100 hours on it, hopefully it gets better for you as you carry on!
I was trying to reflect it back and Geralt didn't raise his sword he basically stood there with sword at his side like, "This is going to hurt...isn't it?" To me two of them are just poor coding choices and there is little I can do about a coder that thinks it is ok to save the game when I am about to die other than scream at their choices. Though is easy to fix it I hit save and game says no....don't autosave either! Well besides the face that I am playing it in Ultra and I can make any console gamer cry it is so obvious if you play on consoles the loading screens will be everywhere that lead one to insanity. Yes it is on a SSD....the load screens I get are basically deaths and fast travel.
You probably had the right abilities ready in one of your slots at the time. I didn’t really focus on mastering that skill, just quickly dodging any unexpected bolts that pop up. When I switch between big areas like Velen and Skellige, loading screens appear—though they’re usually short and not too bothersome, except during tough moments.
Fast travel load screens are really annoying. I don’t want to be reminded over and over about what I just did each time I switch locations. That’s why I haven’t run into this problem before… I’m only level 6, but it’s been around for about 10 hours of playtime.
I once attempted to access a cave near Fornhala by descending the mountain. Geralt almost landed safely but slipped too far, and the narrow opening at the entrance was too steep, causing him to fall and suffer fatal injuries. Just before his death, the game preserved the scene so I could watch Geralt slide toward his end every time I saved. Fortunately, I had a backup save a few minutes prior to the descent. A mod can strip away the narrative moments, replacing them with standard loading prompts and subtle hints.
Loading screens appear very infrequently, making it hard to spot clues inside. After spending over 100 hours playing, I still didn’t notice any hints. I’m definitely going to try the mod—those narrative moments are really frustrating once you see them repeatedly.
