DRM is just nonsense. You can add it to any device, no login required, no need for offline access—your purchase stays intact.

You can save the game on your brother's computer and play together simultaneously.

If you need the Steam in-game overlay for chat or similar, locate the "Add a Game" link at the bottom of the Steam Library. Select a non-Steam title and locate the Witcher 3 file. It likely lacks Steam-only elements like achievements or trading cards, so you won’t miss much.

It's impressive how flexible their return policy is.

Add a Steam shortcut for quick access. GOG offers DRM-free play, eliminating the need for a shortcut.

I really like the new GOG version. It’s cool how they sent me a Witcher copy after I returned my GTX970 two days later (lol). Now I’m getting a G1 Gigabyte gaming 970 with Batman and two Witcher books—three copies total. One for me, two to sell. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Unlikely, limiting play to one hour should suffice for you.
