Hey there, I've been through Witcher 3 for a while now. Sometimes it shows a black screen, and I usually press Alt+Tab to switch back. Recently, I got a Windows warning about low system memory, so I closed the game to avoid losing data. Could this be because my RAM is insufficient? This hasn't happened before in any other games. Thanks! P.S. I'm using Chrome with four tabs open, including a YouTube video playing in the background.

I possess 8 GB of RAM, and occasionally Chrome runs for map locations or similar tasks without any problems. Probably the system never exceeded 7 GB, and I don’t recall how much Witcher 3 consumed—likely under 4 GB. Played at 1080p with high/ultra settings.

It's a solid build with 8GB RAM, 6700MHz and 1070GB SSD. Have you come across anything similar before?

Running Witcher 3 in ultra mode with no hair effects, using 8GB RAM is smooth. You should be able to install MSI Afterburner for monitoring memory usage.

It's okay with this setup. As Ddave mentioned, install MSI Afterburner or a monitoring app with OSD to track RAM usage during gameplay.

I recall seeing my setup with 16GB memory exceeding 8GB during Witcher 3, and I also utilize the SSD cache via the RAM feature on my 850 EVO, which adds to the usage.
