I tested Witcher 3 (1080p) on my GTX 970 at 1582Mhz with all settings on ultra, using high water/grass/shadows. Hairworks was on and only reached 59fps. The textures still looked sharp even at extreme draw distances—no noticeable performance hit. The lighting didn’t get reduced; it stayed consistent. It resembles the 2013 trailer, but the leaked screenshots suggest the textures were poorly lit in the comparison. Anyone have thoughts?

I agree. I really enjoy 1 and 2, even more so than 2, and I was really disappointed when Skyrim was copied. I’ve been playing Origins and part of 2 again since DAI came out. I just learned about a patch that includes free DLC and multiplayer, but I don’t care if I get it. After updating drivers and restarting the game a few times, my PC is now optimized on the Nvidia panel—high settings for some, ultra for others. I’ll check later after work, but I think my monitor might be limiting me with my cards and CPU.

Remarkable experience in an open-world title. The previous criticisms about its shortcomings seem to be overshadowed by this positive reception...

My 970 is clocking in at about 400+ MHz with stock boost clocks, and it's also reaching a warm 81°C.

This seems like a frustrated reaction to a game recommendation. The person found Assassin's Creed Unity disappointing, especially for a free title, noting it was just running around France without any combat. They felt it was too basic and dated compared to other games they've played, like Sega Dreamcast titles. They appreciated the tutorial and simple mechanics but were disappointed by the overall experience. The comment also mentions personal struggles with focus and energy before playing, and expresses excitement to try the game again.

You can check your Witcher 3 settings for 1440p performance by looking at the graphics options in the game menu or adjusting resolution and refresh rate settings within the game interface.

We were discussing the visuals instead of the mechanics. (The AC Unity experience was terrible, and the game remains only playable because of numerous issues)

I appreciate his choice of a genuine name along with a picture of Taylor Swift, but I strongly disagree with his views on the designs on W3 and ACU. As I mentioned, AC made me feel like I was playing a Dreamcast game—something Shemeui or whatever you say it is.
