I need to share this news. The title worked out well for me! I wasn’t really into the second one and Dragon Age Inquisition left me feeling disappointed after waiting three years just to get something decent. Now I won’t expect anything from games again. Thanks, BioWare. After updating the new Nvidia drivers and tweaking the settings, I got her running. Just four hours in and I haven’t even managed to defeat the griffon yet (spoiler: it’s easy). But the story, setting, horseback riding, M+K systems, combat, and card game all seem solid. Really impressed so far. Even the card game adds some fun. The only downside is my 23" 1080p monitor isn’t delivering the experience it should—those 970s aren’t up to the job. Draenor might wait until patch 6.2 if this game is this bad. My score is still a solid 0.02.
Most recent titles struggle to maintain 60fps at 1080p, making it tough to reach 144Hz. Even with two 970ms frames, achieving smooth performance at 1080p is challenging, let alone 1440p.
In many games I've encountered, I needed to reduce the settings, though I think it's my i5 that's limiting me.
