I have a Lian Li Strimer Plus V2 RGB cable for GPU and recently purchased one for the motherboard. I’m unsure how to disconnect the GPU RGB cable (not a 16-pin) from the cable connected to the motherboard. The setup now requires both cables to be plugged into the controller, with only one cable going directly to the motherboard. I’ve tried everything—no visible clips to pull out and release. I also attempted to relieve tension by gently pressing on the sides, but nothing appears damaged. If you can find or share a video showing this process, it would be very helpful since the description doesn’t seem to cover it. I suspect a guide demonstrating unplugging might be useful. Thank you for your assistance.

Is this merely a 4-pin RGB/ARGB header? If yes, there are no pins or clips—just pull straight up. If you're struggling, try inserting something plastic to help it fit. It shouldn't be too hard. Presuming this is the port, I'm not entirely sure about your issue.

It's the second part of the cable. What I mentioned was that there are two cables linked.

It's not clear what we're discussing. Do you mean this link?

It seems like a typical JST format. Usually I take the slightly protruding area on either side with my fingernail, then gently move it left or right while pulling. On the second image you can see the differences between male and female shapes, and how they fit together when connected. If you grasp it incorrectly, it could be tricky to remove.

It was designed with a tight fit to reduce pin bending risk. Without fingernails, you can use sharp tweezers instead. Assuming you understand the process, I’m confident in your approach. Since I don’t have a strimer, it’s unclear if those sections can be separated. It’s possible Lian-Li took steps to avoid unintended disconnection.

Tweezers were a solid choice. The process is complete and functioning properly; no damage occurred, though it required significant effort and slightly bent the sides. I only needed the cable from the GPU. Appreciate it.
