problem with adsl is that it goes to one modem, then you still need ethernet to go to all the other systems unless you only have one computer.
We also have VDSL equipment that can deliver faster connections than ADSL. However, they aren't very affordable. If you can, I'd consider Powerline as a more cost-effective alternative.
