You're thinking about using line ports with an ADSL filter and an ADSL-to-Internet adapter. That setup can work, but it depends on your local network setup and whether your ISP supports such configurations. It might provide a connection if your provider allows it.

Are you referring to phone connections? No, you're looking for Cat 6 cables now.

You're right to double-check. It's always good to confirm the port status before proceeding. Let me know if you need any help with that!

Is it possible to use any Ethernet cable? You mentioned you have one that came with your router.

is your home equipped with a phone connection? Yes, but modern setups usually require cat 6 or 6a. You’ll likely need to move some cables through walls, which isn’t straightforward. There are adapters that convert ethernet over twisted pair, but they’re typically limited to about 100mbit and can be costly.

The phone line is visible from outside the house, and the other port seems to be coaxial but with a different sound. I'm 13, so I'm not knocking on walls.

I don't have any knowledge about twister pairs. Can you tell me more about what you're learning?

Search for more information online. It's straightforward—wired is the main choice. Wireless or powerline options are also available.

Really? Unless he’s got a gigabit link across several machines and a large network of cat6 cables for the entire home, it’s kinda pointless. You’ve got standard phone sockets—just use an ADSL splitter and modem there, but not Ethernet. Those twisted pairs only carry two wires, intended for phones or modems.
