Here’s what you’re dealing with: you’ve identified the necessary components, but the power button cord or wire isn’t connecting to the motherboard. It seems the issue might be with the placement or orientation of the connector. The images should clarify the exact spot and orientation. Let me know if you need further guidance!

unfortunately you're using the correct header and cable, but it seems the board isn't properly set up. The spelling in the link appears to be incorrect. You can still access the product details at the provided Amazon URL. If you need help extracting the pins from the header to the board at a lower cost, let me know.

The guide is available here: LAN216-manual.pdf. On page 4, the connector details are provided. The side pins with arrows run from top to bottom as 1, 3, 5, 7 while the opposite side has 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. On the motherboard, refer to page 27 in the manual. Insert the connector with the arrow pointing up into the LEFT side of the header. This arrangement ensures PLED+ connects to pins 1 and 3, PLED- to 3, the power button to 5 and 7 (on/off momentary), and pins 6 and 8 match the reset switch pins in the header.
