Wireless earbuds without audio on Bluetooth
For a short time there was no sound through the wireless ear buds on the PC. The same happened with other ear buds, though other laptops worked without any issues. Windows shows audio output, but nothing is actually heard. I've checked various fixes online—drivers, troubleshooters, power settings, Device Manager, services apps, etc. Anyone know what might be causing this? If a solution exists but isn't working for you, let me know.
Search for "services.msc" in Windows search. Navigate to the Bluetooth services section, where you'll find 3 services. Click on each one and start them all. After launching, use the earbuds to check functionality.
It was surprising to figure it out on my own.
I had to add a separate driver for the wireless device.
Open Device Manager, go to Sound, video and game controller, right-click the device name and choose Properties, then Update Driver.
Browse your computer for drivers and select "Microsoft Bluetooth A2dp Source."
Audio functionality returned to normal.
I'm really happy with myself, honestly.
It's like remembering a time when the internet wasn't available and you had to search for things on your own.
