Someone can verify that a Wi-Fi antenna isn't particularly unique—you can connect whatever you need, as long as it fits your needs. The antennas included with certain motherboards are often fixed or removable, and you can choose remote-style options similar to those found on other Gigabyte boards. Some listings advertise specific frequencies or compatibility, but the core idea is that a simple wire connection works for most setups.

It's not exactly a simple wire, but it works well when tuned to the correct frequency ranges and isn't meant for high-power applications.

My understanding of antenna basics comes mainly from CB antennas, and my range is quite narrow. But when I said "just a wire," I meant it loosely. It looks like I’m probably fine combining antennas from different suppliers to achieve the look I like. Back in the past, I recall purchasing "high-gain" antennas for routers, which seems to have faded away. Still, it makes me think about whether there’s any real distinction between different antenna types and their designs.

They still show varying improvements and beam shapes, but they often aren't obvious. Avoid combining multiple antennas on one gadget since WiFi relies on MIMO technology; antenna placement affects performance, distance, and direction.
