Check your disk cleanup tool and run it on your boot drive. It will display a comprehensive list of redundant files, such as old Windows versions.

Interesting discovery. I used CCleaner, which unexpectedly deleted the Windows.old folder. I wasn’t aware of that action. Otherwise, Disk Cleanup would be a good option.

As others noted, you remove it by executing Disk Cleanup with administrative privileges or using CCleaner.
