Windows/iCUE isn't recognizing Commander Core or H150i Elite Cappelix.
Hello everyone, I’m facing a puzzling problem that’s hard to pinpoint. My PC setup includes a Corsair 5000D mid-tower motherboard, an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D CPU, a Corsair HX1200 Platinum PSU, G.Skill Trident z5 RGB lighting (32 LEDs, two 16), and a Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 4090. I also have an H150i Elite AIO cooler with a built-in fan controller, and a few industrial Noctua fans.
The H150i comes with a Commander Core that manages the fans and RGB, plus it powers the AIO pump. The case has a fan controller I never used before—it was connected until recently, but now it’s not receiving power. About a week ago, my PC started making strange connection sounds repeatedly. After checking Device Manager and deleting controllers, the issue stopped. Since then, everything works fine, and I haven’t had any problems with fans or cooling.
Recently, I bought new fans for Christmas and connected all six to the Commander Core. When I booted up, everything ran smoothly. However, two of the new radiator fans kept spinning while the third didn’t. I opened iCUE to investigate, but only my mouse and keyboard appeared—no fans, no Commander Core, no other devices. I’ve tried reinstalling iCUE, deleting %appdata%, tweaking USB drivers, updating all motherboard and driver software, using USBDeview, power cycling the PC, and even flipping the CMOS. Still, nothing shows up.
I’m unsure what’s happening and don’t know who to contact for help, especially since I can’t clearly identify the problem. Any suggestions or clues would be greatly appreciated!
