Hey, I'm having an issue where typing the number 3 causes a contrast change. It's really frustrating because I can't figure out why this happens. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks.

We require additional details to start effectively addressing your issue. Are you using a laptop or desktop? Would you like to test a different keyboard? Is the keyboard configuration correct for your location?

It's a desktop Ryzen 7 9700X ROG STRIX B650E-F with 32GB DDR5 5600MT, RTX 2070 and Super Overclocking. I don't have another keyboard to test. This is for the USA.

I don’t have a separate computer to test the keyboard.

I don't have access to another version, yet it still works.

It's tough to pinpoint whether the issue comes from hardware or software without a reliable test tool. Ensure any custom key mapping software is disabled. Check if your BIOS allows typing text or numbers—this can reveal hidden utilities. Running a clean boot in Safe Mode may help identify third-party interference.

It’s clear that switching to a different keyboard is the most straightforward initial step to consider.

Are you asking about a special function key on your keyboard that triggers an additional feature, and which model are you using?

I thought it was software-related since it began functioning before I logged in, but once I did, it stopped working again.

Consider trying these adjustments:
1. Connect the keyboard to a different USB port.
2. Remove and reinstall the keyboard drivers.
3. Try using the Windows troubleshooter for fixes.
4. Use another keyboard if possible, or see how it works with the On-Screen Keyboard.
