Ensure it isn't disconnected from the internet; updating should resolve the issue.

In the previous month they backed it, but now they have ceased their support.

Sure, just a quick press of the key worked perfectly on my version.

I don’t recall it much. It’s been a while since I’ve run XP lately. I remember seeing the activation prompt during my POSReady setup on another machine.

OEM copies often become usable online after about 90 days without any calls required. If you lack internet access, you must contact support to activate. Additionally, I own several Windows XP systems that have remained functional for more than a year without needing activation—though it’s unclear if these are the same copies.

Consider running it inside VirtualBox for verification.

It seems like you're referring to some early problems around the year 2000, which might have contributed to ending the support for XP.

Creating a bootable USB from an XP ISO that doesn’t boot on its own is challenging. You’ll need tools like Rufus or Etcher to format the drive and prepare it for use. Ensure you have a working XP installation media first, then follow the steps carefully. If issues persist, consider using a recovery disk or seeking advanced recovery methods.
